  The Japan Landslide Society office will be closed from December 29, 2023 (Friday) to January 4, 2024 (Thursday).

 The International Affairs Department will invite Prof. Michel Jaboyedoff (University of Lausanne)　to hold the lecture online. We encourage all members to participate. Please note that the lecture and the subsequent question and answer session will all be conducted in English.

6. Title: From landslide susceptibility to risk management, with the example of the European continent
7. Content: In Europe s.l., landslide mapping and zoning have been carried out over the last few decades,
　　　　　　enabling the development of subsequent risk analysis. Research and development have
　　　　　　progressed in the field of risk management, particularly regarding new technologies,
　　　　　　concepts, modeling, early warning systems and so on. Nevertheless, uncertainty remains
　　　　　　the most difficult problem to solve. Examples from Switzerland, Norway, Italy, France,
　　　　　　etc. will be presented.

 11.1 If you can read Japanese, apply as follows.
  　(Attention!) It is free for members, so follow the steps below.
  　(1) Enter your name, membership category, member ID, etc.
  　(2) Select “Bank Transfer” as the payment method.
  　(3) On the “Payment Results” screen, a message saying “Please transfer the participation fee by the

  　(4) Your application is complete when you receive an email saying “Purchase application has been
