The Japan Landslide Society 2023 lecture by overseas researchers
International Affairs Department
The International Affairs Department will invite Prof. Michel Jaboyedoff (University of Lausanne) to hold the lecture online.
We encourage all members to participate. Please note that the lecture and the subsequent question and answer session will all be conducted in English.

5. Participation fee: Free for JLS members, 3,300 yen (tax included) for non-members
6. Title: From landslide susceptibility to risk management, with the example of the European continent
7. Content: In Europe s.l., landslide mapping and zoning have been carried out over the last few decades, enabling the development of subsequent risk analysis. Research and development have progressed in the field of risk management, particularly regarding new technologies, concepts, modeling, early warning systems and so on. Nevertheless, uncertainty remains the most difficult problem to solve. Examples from Switzerland, Norway, Italy, France, etc. will be presented.
