August 21 (Wednesday): Opening Ceremony, Commendation Ceremony, Special Lectures,
                     Workshop and Party
       Reception Hours: 9:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M.
       Opening Ceremony, Commendation Ceremony: 10:00 AM. To 10:40 A.M.
        Special Lectures: 10:40 AM. To 12:00 A.M.
        Workshop: 1:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M.

3. Period of Application for Participation

Application Period: from May 13 at noon, 2019 to July 22, 2019
1) You are asked to apply for the participation in advance to manage the smooth convention operation.
2) During this meeting we will accept the application on the day for the workshop only.
3) Regarding the local site visiting tours and the party, you are only accepted by the application in advance.

4. Publications on CD’s and Web site

 At this meeting we will distribute the proceeding on CD and publicize on Web site. The distribution of the CD is made on the very days of the meeting. Those who have applied for the Web access will be sent ID’s at the latter half of July, and can view the proceeding in advance. We don’t distribute the proceeding(paper-bound).

1)Application in advance means the participation fee has been paid in advance. We do not return the paid fee.
2)If you have any rules of companies or government offices regarding the payment, please contact us about that.
3)Where the number of applicants for fields courses is small, the field course may be cancelled. (In this case the paid fee will be returned or a separate course will be recommended.)

6. Method of Participation including Paper Submission and Payment

  • The application site for participation is shown below.
  • Notice: This system uses Japanese. If you have a problem, consult the secretariat of the meeting.

  Application for participation

 The flow of application procedures is in the following.

  • 1)The participation application is made by filling in the necessary items. The inputs are which meeting to participate in (workshop, party and local site visiting tours), whether to arrange lunch other than participants’ profiles.
  • 2)When the input is completed, the personal page is going to be logged in. The payment of the participation fee is made on the personal page. You can select credit card payment or convenience store payment. When you select the payment, you will move to the payment screen. According to the payment method you have selected, you can pay.
  • 3)When the payment is confirmed, you can download the receipt and the attendance card.
  • 4)If you need the receipt in other formats (receipt by item or by separate fee), please consult us at the reception desk on the very day. (Please make sure to bring the receipt downloaded.)
  • 5)Print the attendance card and bring it to the reception desk on the very day.
  • 6)Only participation for workshop is possible to apply for the convention by the application fee on the very day, but you are asked to apply beforehand as much as possible to perform the smooth management.
  • 7)If the payment is not made by the closing date, the payment will be made by the fee on the very day.
  • 8)We don’t accept group applications, as we did in the past. Please apply individually.

7. Method and Period of Presentation Application

Notice: Only members of The Japan Landslide Society can present papers.
The copyright of papers belongs to The Japan Landslide Society.

  • The presentation application can be processed only through the same site shown in the above, “Application for participation”.
  • The period of presentation applications is as follows.
       From May 13 at noon, 2019 to June 3, 2019

    The flow of presentation application is in the following.

    • 1)The presentation application is processed through a personal page after the participation application is completed as mentioned in the above. Even if the participation fee is not paid, the presentation application is possible.
    • 2)The presentation application can be processed by filling out necessary information through a personal page. The inputs are profiles of speakers or group speakers, titles, either selection of oral presentation or presentation by posters and a desirable presentation session. Afterwards the pdf file for your presentation should be registered.
    • 3)When presentation application is received, the received email is sent. Make sure the mail.
    • 4)At the latter half of July the programs of the presentations and the synopsis of the presentations are opened on this site.
    • 5)The participation application will be closed on July 22. A speaker makes it sure to pay the participation fee by the date.

    8. Lectures by Prefectural Guest Speakers

    9. Local Site Visiting Tours

    We provide 3 local site visiting tours. Each tour will start by chartered bus from KKR hotel Kumamoto, and Course A will start at 4:00PM on August 22, staying overnight at “Matsushima hot spring”.

    • Course A (Capacity: about 30 people): Zentoku Landslide and Geological Feature in Amakusa Area

    • Course C (Capacity: about 45 people): Disaster in Aso area caused by Kumamoto earthquake
