Application for Presentation and Creation of Lecture Synopsis and its Contribution

 
  The application for presentation and the contribution of the synopsis are performed through the dedicated participation application system.
  The collections of papers will be distributed by CD’s and be viewed on the website (logged in with passwords and the limited viewing period).
  Color manuscripts are possible to be placed. Please understand that the contributed manuscripts are copied on CD’s and placed on the website (password management). Therefore the release date of the content of research publication especially related to patents, etc. is the one when opened on the website (scheduled at the latter half of July), not the very convention day.

1. Method of Presentation

(1) Methods of presentation are oral or by posters. In oral presentations, video projectors projecting the screens of a PC can be used. Possible for poster presentations to display posters only (one-hour core time limit set up). Those who want displays at poster presentations should contact meeting secretariat at the time of applications (there might be unsatisfactory cases to applicants).
(2) Regardless of oral presentations or poster presentations one speaker can publicize only one presentation. One speaker can apply for both oral and poster presentations whose contents must be different.
(3) Maximum number of joint authors should be 7.
(4) Oral speakers should select up to the second desired item among the sessions to be presented at as shown in the following
1. Landslide Mechanism /2. Landslide Investigation/Measurement /3. Slope Stability /4. Measures /5. Case Reports /6. Special Session
Special sessions are going to be described later on our website.


2. Method and schedule of Contrubution

The contribution of lecture synopses is performed through the dedicated participation application system. Furthermore, the deadline of the contrubutions of lecture synopses becomes even stricter. You are asked to prepare the permission to publish in advance from the parties concerned.
The period of the application is scheduled as follows.
– Period of Application: May 13, 2019 to June 3, 2019
– June 3: Closing Date of Application for Presentation and Manuscript contribution
– Beginning of July: The program on the presentation and presentation method (details) is opened on the Society’s homepage. The program on the presentation and publication method (details) is emailed to a person in charge of the communication for an applicant.
– Latter Half of July: The collections of lectures will be opened on the website.

3. Method of Making Manuscript of Lecture Synopsis

(1) The content of the presentation is unpublished in principle. In referring to previous researches, you are required to get the permission from their authors beforehand as well as clearly state their reference sources on your own responsibility.
(2) The manuscripts of lecture synopses must be made in pdf format (adobe acrobat format by Adobe Systems Corp.). We don’t accept paper manuscripts. The number of A4-size manuscripts should be 1 or 2.
(3) The collections of papers are distributed to the participants on CD’s and are accessible on the website (the viewing on the site is limited time-wise). Color manuscripts are possible to be placed.
(4) When you make the synopses of lecture manuscripts (in pdf format), you are asked to confirm and adjust the resolutions of the image outputs so as to be printed as they are.
(5) The file size should be less than 5MB.

4. Method of Making Lecture Synopses for Research Publication Meeting

(1) Manuscript paper should be A4-sized in portrait format and be filled in according to the following example.
(2) The number of manuscripts should be 1 or 2.
